Find the right AFA support program

AFA uses “support” for several kinds of work. Choose the path that matches your need, then check the official program for current eligibility and instructions.

I need help for a wounded Airman or Guardian

Start with our Wounded Airmen & Guardians guide for AFA's financial-assistance, travel, caregiver, and Warrior CARE paths. Financial-assistance requests go through an Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) Recovery Care Coordinator or Non-Medical Case Manager; AFA Connect does not decide eligibility or accept requests. Read AFA's current grant process before asking a coordinator about a case.

I want to support military families or start a Chapter project

United Forces & Families brings together family resources and AFA's quality-of-life work. Its published grant route is for AFA Chapters proposing projects, rather than direct cash assistance to an individual family. Our guide explains the application path and links to AFA's current rules; the Chapter directory helps you find a local connection.

I am looking for awards or cadet recognition

AFA's National Awards recognize service and achievement; they are not an emergency-assistance program. AFA also describes support for Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings, and an Outstanding Cadet of the Year medal for AFROTC, AFJROTC, and Civil Air Patrol units. Read AFA's current cadet-award instructions for the medal route and AFA's support overview for the Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings connection. Students looking for education funding can instead compare our scholarship guide.

I want to help AFA support others

Our giving guide compares AFA's published donation routes and sends contributions to official AFA channels. The Memorial to Memorial Ride guide explains a fundraiser for wounded Airmen and Guardians. To learn how these activities fit AFA's broader work, read our mission guide.
