How to give to the Air & Space Forces Association
Find the official path for a personal gift, employer match, planned gift, or another contribution. AFA handles all donations and confirms current terms.
Where should I start if I want to donate to AFA?
Start with AFA's official giving page. Its Give control opens an embedded Givebutter donation form on AFA's site, and the page also publishes instructions for gifts by mail. Use AFA's official page before entering payment information. AFA Connect does not collect payments or process donations.
Compare AFA's published giving routes
- Online or mailed gift: AFA's giving page opens its online donation form and gives its Development mailing address.
- Employer matching, stock, and cryptocurrency: AFA's additional ways to give page explains these routes. Your employer sets matching rules; contact AFA for stock transfer instructions. For cryptocurrency, follow AFA's supported-asset and network instructions exactly before any transfer.
- Donor-advised fund or IRA gift: AFA publishes separate instructions for donor-advised funds and IRA qualified charitable distributions. Ask the relevant administrator to follow AFA's current instructions.
- Planned gift or annual giving: Explore the Thunderbird Society for planned gifts and the Wings Society for annual support and recognition.
- Vehicle donation: AFA's giving page links a vehicle-donation partner. Confirm the vehicle, transfer, and receipt terms there before proceeding.
AFA's current giving page does not list a Combined Federal Campaign designation. If you want to give through CFC, check the campaign's current charity search before pledging.
What can my support help AFA do?
AFA describes its work through advocacy, education, and support. Explore its education programs, Wounded Airmen & Guardians support, and family initiatives to understand the work behind the giving options. A gift to the Association is different from AFA membership or joining a local Chapter; follow the relevant official route for each.
How can I confirm details before giving?
Use AFA's live giving page and the linked instructions for current routes, or contact its Development team at [email protected]. Ask AFA how it will designate a restricted gift and what acknowledgment it can provide before contributing. Do not send payment information through AFA Connect feedback or the public contact form. Tax consequences depend on individual circumstances; consult a qualified advisor.
